GALLERY: South-west residents turn out in droves to express opposition towards Olympia Hills

On Tuesday night the Salt Lake County Council held a remote Public Hearing at Copper Mountain Middle School concerning the proposed Olympia Hills development.

Residents of the south-west part of the valley, including from Herriman, Riverton and South Jordan overwhelmingly expressed their opposition to the project, citing a lack of infrastructure needed for such a large development.

Council Chair Max Burdick opens the meeting by telling the audience to show their agreement throughout the night by waving their arms, rather than clapping.

It was a standing-room only crowd at Copper Mountain Middle School.

County Council Members didn't say a word aside from introducing themselves.
