It's been a very successful season for many of Herriman High School and Mountain Ridge High School's sports teams. Now they'll have the chance to compete against the best teams in the state for a state championship.

Here's when Herriman area high school teams are set to play next. (Game times come from the state tournament brackets, but are subject to change.)

Herriman

The Herriman boys soccer team capped off a 13-3 season with a 1-0 region-clinching victory over Bingham in their season finale. Ranked as the number-3 seed by the RPI system, they'll have a first round bye before facing the winner of Granger and American Fork on May 18 at 4 p.m.

The Herriman softball team put together an impressive 20-4 season, yet fell short to Riverton and Bingham in the region standings. The three Region Three schools wound up with the top three spots in the RPI rankings, meaning Herriman gets a first round bye, after which they'll see their first playoff action on May 20-21.

The Herriman girls lacrosse team went undefeated in region play (and 14-2 overall), which earned them a five seed in the Division A state playoffs. They'll face off against twelfth-seeded Alta on May 18 at 4 p.m.

The Herriman boys lacrosse team finished with a record of 5-11, and will be competing in the Division C state playoffs as a five seed. They'll play the winner of Orem and Jordan on May 19 at 4 p.m

The Herriman baseball team will look to make a Cinderella-run through the playoffs as a 21-seed, starting with a series against Taylorsville High on May 15-17.

Mountain Ridge

The Sentinels' boys soccer team took home the region crown this year with a 10-2 record (13-3 overall). That was enough to earn them a number two overall seed in the 5A state playoffs. After a first round bye, they'll play the winner of Park City and Box Elder on May 18 at 4 p.m.

The Mountain Ridge softball team also won their region with a 11-1 record (20-3 overall). They also earned a number two seed, which means they won't have to play until the third round of the playoffs. They'll play a 3-game series on May 20-21.

The Mountain Ridge boys lacrosse team also won their region with a perfect 12-0 record (14-2 overall), which earned them a seven seed in the Division A bracket. They'll play Juan Diego on May 18 at 4 p.m

The Mountain Ridge girls lacrosse team ALSO won their region with a perfect 12-0 record (15-1 overall). That's good enough to earn them the second seed in the Division A bracket. They'll kick off their tournament run against Ridgeline on May 18 at 4 p.m.

The Mountain Ridge baseball team earned an eight seed after putting together a second place finish in the region standings. They'll start their post-season campaign with a series on May 20-21.
